CHOCK AND BATES BRING HOME SILVER FROM SKATE CANADA INTERNATIONAL

(10/30/16) – Madison Chock and Evan Bates won the silver medal in the ice dance competition, highlighting a weekend of competition at Skate Canada International, the second stop of the ISU Grand Prix Series.

Combined with it’s 76.21-point short dance, the duo earned the top free dance on Saturday (112.03), contributing to an 188.24-point overall score. They will compete next week at Rostelecom Cup in Moscow.

Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker finished sixth (162.19) in the ice dance competition.

In the pairs competition, Skate America medalists Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier finished fourth with 188.23 overall points.

In the ladies competition, Mirai Nagasu finished in ninth place (151.42).

Grant Hochstein and Ross Miner finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in the men’s competition.
