CHRISTOPHER BOYADJI LEAD THE CHALLENGE IN NICE

Zoe Wilkinson and Christopher Boyadji (pictured) will be leading the way as ten GB skaters head to the Coupe de Nice this week.

The 21st Coupe de Nice will see the return of the Pairs skaters, who had their debut international competition together at the Ondrej Nepala Memorial in Slovakia earlier this month. They will be hoping to build upon their 6th place in Bratislava.

Senior Ice Dance pair Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson will take to the ice in France looking for a strong performance following their second place finish at the Lombardia Trophy in Italy last month.

In the Senior Ladies, Danielle Harrison, Karly Robertson and Nina Povey will all be hoping to repeat the successes they have shared throughout the early stages of this skating season. Danielle and Karly performed excellently at the Finlandia Trophy at the beginning of October. Nina last competed at the Ondrej Nepala Memorial and will be hoping to improve upon her 19thplace performance there.

Josh Brown, Charlie Parry-Evans and Harry Mattick will be flying the flag for GB in the Senior Men’s. CBBC Ice Star Josh will be hoping his achievements as a junior continue as a senior. While Nottingham’s Charlie, who also last competed in Bratislava, takes to the ice following his 13th place there. Meanwhile Bradford born Harry will want to keep up the good form after his top ten finish at the Autumn Classic in Canada this month.

The Coupe de Nice is an international skating event organised by The French Figure Skating Union and Nice Baie des Anges Association. It will run from the 19th – 23rd October.

Full results will be posted upon publication.
