A fantastic first day at the British Figure Skating Championships saw over 50 skaters competing for the top prize.

The day was jam packed with skating action, with Basic Novice A and B Men’s, the Advanced Novice Men Short Program and Basic Novice A Ladies taking to the ice.

Billy Wilson-French (pictured) took the top spot in the Basic Novice A Men’s, while Edward Appleby sat in first place after the Short Program results in Advanced Novice Men. In the Basic Novice B Men’s, Connor Bray came first with a score of 47.30.

Eva Carter won the Basic Novice A Ladies after beating nearly 40 other competitors in a hotly fought contest.
