MOSCOW, April 12 – R-Sport. The Council of the International Skating Union (ISU) has approved a calendar stages of the Grand Prix figure skating season 2017/18 and the season-2018/19, according to the official website of the ISU, the Russian stage in the upcoming pre-Olympic season will be the first in the series.
In the season 2017/18 the first stage of the Grand Prix will take place on 20-22 October in Russia since January 2018 Moscow will take the European Championship. Next steps will be: Canada (27-29 October), China (November 3-5), Japan (10-12 November), France (17-19 November), the USA (24-26 November). Grand Prix Final will be held December 7-10 in Japan.
In the season 2018/19 calendar Grand Prix will be as follows: USA (19-21 October), Canada (26-28 October), China (2-4 November), Japan (9-11 November), France ( 16-18 November), Russia (23-25 November). Finals will take Canada December 6-9.
ISU also approved the calendar of tournaments “Challenger” series in the 2017 season / 18. 13-17 September tournament will be held in Salt Lake City (USA), 14-17 September – in Bergamo (Italy), September 20-23 – Montreal (Canada), 21-23 September – in Bratislava (Slovakia), 27 -30 of September – in Oberstdorf (Germany), October 6-8 – in Espoo (Finland) 27-29 October – Minsk (Belarus), 16-19 November – in Warsaw (Poland), 21-26 of November – in Tallinn (Estonia), December 6-9 – in Zagreb (Croatia).
