(Seoul = Yonhap News) Lee Young-ho reporter = Kim-Kam of the Korean Figure Fair failed to pass the cut at the world championship short program which was their first trial.
Kim-Kam got 19.46 points of technical score (TES) and 24.39 points of arts score (PCS) with one point off, in total of 42.85 points at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships Fair Short program held in Milan, Italy on 22nd(in Korea-time).
Kim-Kam, who ranked 26th out of 28 players, failed to secure a free-skating qualification, the 16th place.
In the first task, double twist lift was treated as the lowest level B (base point 2.90 points), but the GOE decreased by 0.17 point. In the triple salchow, they lost 2.10 points of GOE, and were commented that they did not have enough turns.
Kim-Kam received Level 2 in Group 3 lift, level 3 for the Combination Spin, and completed the stage with step sequence and Forward Inside Spiral both at Level 2.
On the other hand, North Korea’s Ryom Tae Ok and Kim Ju Sik, ranked 13th in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, won 66.32 points in the short program and ranked 12th in the short program to win the free skating entry.
